The 805 has tons of headroom, which makes that circuit an excellent candidate for a 2-stage gain structure. This is obvious the moment you plug any kind of boost in front of it. So why not make a dual 805? Or an 805 with the Pickup Booster built into it? I've always felt those two pedals should come as a set anyway. Call it the 1610
Kind of like a Deucetone Rat, but with more headroom? Interesting, but also noisy if you don't have a gate. It would be good to be able to swap order in the chain.
I like it, and to have it work with bass would be awesome.
Good idea. There is a trend for this. And it would be a winner for sure....shorter waiting period than a KOT, although that's a different circuit.
I'd give it a try. Love the Twin Tube Classic (now discontinued) except for the non-std. pwr. supply (16 vac).
I don't believe dual pedals are the way to go they historically don't sell very well and I for one like to experiment with different pre-amp and overdrive combinations.
I agree with Neerav G. The ability to swap around the order of the drives, and and FX loop, like the Strymon Mobius, which can be set so you can other fx in parallel, an idea which is more and more common on modelling gear, not so much in the analogue domain.
Just don't call that name but, everything else is a good idea.
Absolutely great idea...
Yes sounds like a very good idea
Completely agree. Seems like a no-brainer.
That sounds perfect. The 805 is wicked.
Great idea. I'm in for one of it ever comes to fruition!
I support.
excellent idea!
Yes, I'd be interested in it. Can do various stacking options like the Wampler Dual Fusion, but a regular setup would be ok too.
